Last day-have to go home!

We got up on Saturday and got ready to come home. Bitter Sweet as it was. Love to go and love to get home to your bed and your routine. They also needed to get on a schedule and are excited for their new life in Washington DC. Matt takes the metro to work each day to Capital Hill, (20 minutes ride). Sweet deal!

 We took a ride to see the Washington DC Temple. They live 4.2 miles from the temple.

 It was a very busy day. we couldn't find a parking place so our trip was short and sweet. We walked all the way around the temple and we couldn't find one window! Not sure why!It is BIG and is white granite stone.

Last stop before the airport was the 911 memorial. It was awesome and has a good spirit about it. Matt told us that the plane hit a part of the Pentagon that had just been remodeled and so it was stronger and better then the rest of the building. It wasn't damaged as bad as it would have been if it would have hit any other side of the building. There was a bench for each person killed with their names on it and water running below it. You can't see it very well but if you look at the one closest to the cement you can see it. The youngest person was 3 yrs old and the oldest was 81 or 82 not sure. Worth a stop if your in town.
