March 13th Love and the Honey bee.

I was asked to speak in church about the "Joy of Member Missionary Work" why me? I don't want to toot my horn and say I do this well because I don't. I do try to be friendly to all and include my neighbors in activities that go on in our church and neighborhood. I didn't want people going home feeling guilty or unsuccessful. I prayed and looked for the right words to share. I picked this talk By Elder Ballard. Oct 2012 conference. I learned WAY more then I shared so I thought I would share just a little about what I shared. 

Honey--one of nature’s most beneficial foods. In fact, nutritionists tell us it is one of the foods that includes all the substances--enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and water--necessary to sustain life. Honeybees are driven to pollinate, gather nectar, and condense the nectar into honey.  It is estimated that to produce just one pound (0.45 kg) of honey, the average hive of 20,000 to 60,000 bees must collectively visit millions of flowers and travel the equivalent of two times around the world. Over its short lifetime of just a few weeks to four months, a single honeybee’s contribution of honey to its hive is a mere one-twelfth of one teaspoon. Though seemingly insignificant when compared to the total, each bee’s one-twelfth of a teaspoon of honey is vital to the life of the hive. The bees depend on each other. Work that would be overwhelming for a few bees to do becomes lighter because all of the bees faithfully do their part. Brothers and sisters we can do this. We all need to find what it is we can to for our one-twelfth of a teaspoon. I loved this idea of working together for the bigger cause. Many hands make light work in no matter what we do in life. I love the gospel and I want to do my part living. sharing and growing. 

Rozan came to visit her daughter Mistalyn who lives here in Vernal. She invited me for lunch at her house and we visited for a few hours. It was so great. Love this girl and her girl and her children. Jorgen and I took our picture together. Mis has 4 boys and one darling little girl. 

 Here is my one twelfth of one teaspoon. I helped make paper flowers for the RS birthday party. Glad that I could make them. They turned out so cut. Thank you Pinterest! 

Scouts-we worked on the engineer badge this week. Brother Clayton and Brother Dutson are both engineers and showed us different jobs that engineers do. It was a great day, cool but sunny. We had all 6 of our boys there. I love these little men and my calling.
