03-14-14 10 day visit to Michigan

We got to Michigan on March 14th and had to get out the dresses and tie we brought for Easter. I know it is early but we are not going to be there for Easter. Raquel is a great mom and beautiful to boot. Harmon wanted to hold Miss Fern and he was smiling all the time he held her. She on the other hand wasn't to happy with it all but we did get a few pics. Love this little family!

Miss Caroline-She is a doll and I love this girl so much!!
Harmy bud, Buddy are his nicknames. He is a sweet boy and we had a ball with him. It was so cold but one day we were able to get outside and he cried so hard when we went in. He loves outside.
Sweet Fernie-She was so cute, smiling all the time. She is spoiled but not sure who does that.
Grandpa brought Miss C some cookie cutters so  here they are making cookies. Not sure who wanted them more grandpa or CC.

Finished Product. Buddy loved them as well.
I think grandpa ate to many cookies and C had to take his temperature.
 Hard day in the kitchen.
Here is our day out and it was cold but these two didn't want to go in. We had so much fun with them. Buddy is talking and saying a lot of words. He was saying these words the most. More,(his favorite word) every time grandpa threw him around the room, gave him horse rides, took him in the car. Grandpa pushed him around the house on his John Deere tracker, that was a hit.

This baby girl was so sweet. She did a lot of talking of her own. She smiled and cooed all the time. We even got her laughing on video. She went to the doctor for her 4 month check while we were there.
She was 12 pds 10 oz. 21 inches long. She is a little girl. She loved to be in grandpas arms.

We also had a bit treat and meet up with a young man who served his mission in Vernal but in 2006. Ryan and Betty Jo Shrack live in New Haven Indiana. it is 80 miles from Raquels home. We called them and meet for lunch. His mom also came and meet us. It was so much fun to see them and their little family. They have a 4 year old daughter and twins who are 5 months old. Boy and a girl. We ate at a great little Mexican Restaurant in Fort Wayne Indiana. It was nice to get out of the house and see some of Michigan and Indiana.

Raquels birthday was on Friday the 21st and we had a nice day getting our toes done in the morning. Shopping in the afternoon and dinner that night. Raquel also got a new car that day. She is now a mini van mom. The picture below is the best family picture we got the whole time.

To top off the week Raquel and I drove to Kalamazoo Michigan (1 and 1/2 one way) to see the product of the "Lamb of God". It was preformed by 50 different religious denominations from the community.  Raquel's friend and mission companion Emily Stewart Blewitt sang a solo. It was so incredible. They spirit was so strong and you felt the love of the Savior as the preformed his life service.

We left the next morning to fly  home. It was hard to leave knowing we will not see these little people for 5 months. We fly right our of Vernal and back into Vernal. It was so nice not to have to drive 3 hours home.
