02-14-14 Valentines Week

Started off the week getting a Valentine from there three munchkins, Ferns face says it all. They are the best!

Then on Monday I got flowers from my WHOLE family. Thanks honey.

On Thursday we drove to SLC with mom and dad K. We took them to Hopes so they could stay over and visit with them. Mark and Rick went to the Hunting Expo at the Salt Palace. That evening we went to Em's Cafe here up by the Capital Building. It was very good and worth every penny. We had a nice dinner with Mary and Rick. We then stayed over at their home in Spanish Fork.

Dead Sea Scrolls: Life and Faith in Ancient Times includes one of the largest collections of the priceless 2,000-year-old Dead Sea Scrolls. Discovered by a shepherd in 1947, the Scrolls contain the oldest known copies of the Hebrew Bible.On display with the Scrolls were more than 600 objects from the Biblical to Byzantine Period in Israel, including many that have never been publicly exhibited. You will see a three-ton stone from Jerusalem's Wailing Wall, the remains of religious articles, weapons of war, stone carvings, textiles and beautiful mosaics along with everyday household items such as jewelry and ceramics. This was indescribable and a must see here. We stayed 3 hours and I could have stayed 3 more. You can't take pictures of the scrolls but you could take some pictures of a few items. There is a lamp like the Tens Virgins, dish and some money. We got to see about 6 to 8 real scrolls. Every item in the displace as authentic. The LDS church and BYU have been very instrumental in getting them here for show. BYU has been a big part of the translation of the scrips. SO COOL! We took mom and dad Kremin with us. After it was over we went to luper as mom calls it, lunch and super at 3:30 to Red Lopster and it was CRAZY. Valentines Day and all. We had a nice dinner and got home by 8:30.

Not for little kids. Sorry! Loved it!
