12-25-14 Christmas in Michigan

We started this trip on Dec 17th. We meet Joleen in SLC at the airport and fly to Detroit together. It was so fun to meet her there. We rented a car and drove to Hillsdale.
day 1 we got right to work helping Raquel and Matt clean the basement. We created a BIG play room for all the ride toys. This was the best idea as it created a play ground for the kids. They loved it. We spent many hours down there just playing.
Next project was the kitchen. We helped take down, mud, paint, cut trim for this room. It took a few days but it is a WHOLE new kitchen for them. Merry Christmas!
Raquel did most of the wall mudding. Matt and Mark then sanded the walls for painting.
We all did part of it making it go faster and much more enjoyable with a team then alone.

Joleen spent a lot of time taking care of the kiddos! THANK YOU
She also got a 24 hour bug and was down for a few days. Poor girl!

We found time to make ginger bread house and trains!

These two think they are so funny in their new 2 piece Christmas jammies!

We did find time to play games a few nights and as ALWAYS we had a great time. We got two new games for Christmas. The Netherlands-Ticket to Ride and Spot it! Both were GREAT!!
Caroline got so many fun kits from grammy Bell that we did spend a lot fo time making things. So fun!
We had Christmas Eve last Sunday on the 21st. We had to come home on the 26th and wanted to play with the kids and their toys a few days before we had to leave. it worked out great. It might be the last  time we can do it off schedule.

Joleen the master gift giver got a all paid trip for the three of us ladies to Seattle for Time Out for Women and a whale watching tour in March. It is for our Christmas and Birthday presents. She wrote a story about 3 queens and made a book. It was AWESOME! If you want to see it stop by and I will share the video. THANK YOU JO!
Trying to get these three little ones in a picture was not easy.
Mark took a break and went Antique shopping with Matt and Raquel for old plates to hang on her NEW wall. They found some keepers.

My man is a funny guy. He forgot his Sunday belt so the girls said "Well use moms scarf" I thought it looked great but he wouldn't wear it. Not sure why. LOL

My girls talked me into making a vision board for my goals for 2015! Thanks girls!

Last minute honey does on Christmas Day. Putting in the lights in the kids rooms. Great job men!

Saying good bye is hard. We left while the kids were sleeping. BOOHOO!
Then we had to part with Joleen at the airport as we both went separate ways. Love my girls
See you in February and March!
Came home to a fresh snow storm. I love it!
